August 3, 2026 Treatment Update

The eastern portion of Zone 3 (LINK) was treated in the morning of August 3, 2026. Note: the treatment does not control elodea.  (There is a whole different set of requirements and herbicide for dealing with elodea.) There was a minimal amount of pondweed and a fair amount of Naiad in the zone being treated.  A species of milfoil was found in zone 3 near shore and by the first dock. Aquatechnex was not positive of the species so they sent photos to Wes Glissen at the Department of Ecology to see if he can help with identification. Wes is in the field until next Monday so it may take a week to get identification confirmation. However, IF this milfoil is the invasive species of milfoil, we will need to remain very vigilant and manage it.  Given it was treated already there isn’t much that can be done currently.  We are hopeful it’s the native western milfoil
