The Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) is the county’s legislative authority. They are also the County level administrators for all Lake Management Districts (LMDs). There are currently four LMDs in Thurston County: Offut Lake, Pattison Lake, Long Lake and Lake Lawrence
The five commissioners are elected to four-year terms and serve as the chief administrators for several important county operations, including oversight of the county’s budget. Each commissioner represents a numbered district.
