Herbicide Treatment Notice and Schedule
Our Integrated Aquatic Vegetation Management Plan (IAVMP) has been completed. On June 5th a Treatment Notification card will be mailed to all OLMD parcels. We currently plan to have two herbicide treatments, one for submerged vegetation and one for lily pads.
The following information is on the Treatment Notification Card sent to all Offut Lake residents:
BUSINESS and RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT NOTICE for OFFUT LAKE
In Treatment Area in ¼ Mile Notification Shoreline Area.
Distribution Date: June 13 to October 31, 2025
Selected sites on Offut Lake will be treated with aquatic herbicides on or between June 13, 2025 and October 31, 2025, weather permitting.
Treatments will not take place on weekends or holidays.
Products Planed for Use: Aquathol K and ClearCast
Active ingredients: Dipotassium salt of Endothall (Aquathol K), Imazamox (ClearCast)
Plants/Algae targeted: Largeleaf Pondweed (Potamogeton amplifolious), Fragrant Water Lily (Nymphaea odorata)
Location of treatment(s): This LINK shows the map for the possible treatment areas. Only those areas that physically contain target plants will be treated.
• The applicator (Aquatechnex) will post signs in the treated and potentially affected areas no more than 48 hours prior to treatment.
• The signs will describe any water use restrictions or advisories.
• If you are withdrawing water for potable or domestic water use, livestock watering, or irrigation, and have no alternate water source, please contact Kyle Langan at (360) 239-5707 or kyle@aquatechnex.com to arrange an alternate water supply.
